Nastro d'Argento

The Nastro d' Argento ( Silver Ribbon German ) is a film prize, which is awarded by the National Sindacato Giornalisti Cinematografici Italiani ( SNGCI ), the Professional Association of Italian Film Journalists since 1946. This award is given annually in several categories.

• Director of the best non-Italian film (1948-2006), best European and best non-European film (both from 2007)
• Best New Director ( since 1974)
• Best Comedy (since 2009)
• Best Documentary ( intermittently since 1946)
• Best Short Film
• Best Film in 3D ( since 2010)

Nastri for Actors:

• Best Actress (since 1946)
• Best Actor (since 1946)
• Best Supporting Actress ( 1946 )
• Best Supporting Actor (since 1946)
