Natalia Golts

Natalya Yuryevna Golz (Russian Наталья Юрьевна Гольц; born August 22, 1985 in Monchegorsk, rayon Murmansk, Soviet Union) is a Russian wrestler. It was between 2003 and 2008 European champion five times and won six medals at the World Championships.

Career

Natalya Golz began as a teenager in 1996 with the rings. Born on the Arctic Ocean athlete now lives in Moscow and is owned by the Sports Club Dynamo Moscow. She has been trained so far mainly by N. Nanajew and Omar Murtasalijew. She is a student. At a size of 1.63 meters, she started to date with a few exceptions always in the weight class up to 55 kg body weight.

In 1998, she was (later renamed f in Junior World Championships Cadets ) as a thirteen- year-old already in the so-called Youth World Cup in Manchester and won it there in the weight category up to 38 kg the title. In the years 2000 to 2002, she then won three times in a row the Junior European Championship title in the age group Cadets ( under 16 years ). These championships were held in Bratislava, Izmir and Albena / Bulgaria. Natalya Golz won it in weight classes to 46 kg, 49 kg and 52 kg body weight. Other championship titles in the Junior Women then they no longer won, although it until 2005 in this age group would still be allowed to start. That was his reason that they began the Russian Wrestling Federation from 2002 already regularly in international competitions around the ladies.

Her debut in the women gave Natalya Golz at the World Cup 2002 in Chalkida / Greece. She started in the weight class up to 51 kg and won there in the first round battles among others Jessica Bechtel from Germany. In the semifinals they defeated the Japanese Chiharu Icho, but then won with a victory over Lyndsay Belisle in Canada still a world championship bronze medal.

In 2003 she won in Riga the first European title in the weight class up to 55 kg. In the decisive battles they won it against Christina Oertli from Germany and Sofia Poumpouridou from Greece. This title was followed then by 2008 a further four European titles. Natalya Golz won this all in the weight class up to 55 kg and that in Varna ( 2005), Moscow (2006 ), Sofia ( 2008) and Tampere ( 2009). The toughest opponent, who defeated them there, were Anna Gomis, France, Ana Maria Pavał, Romania, Maria Ivanova, Belarus, Ludmila Cristea, Moldova, Emese Szabo, Hungary, Natalia Sinischin and Tetyana Lazareva, both Ukraine and Johanna Mattsson, Sweden.

Not so successful they cut off at the world championships. But at least she won at the World Championship 2003 in New York, a bronze medal. She lost there against Saori Yoshida of Japan and won this bronze medal by defeating the Chinese Sun Dongmei. At the 2005 World Championships in Budapest, she again won a bronze medal. Here it was the Chinese Su Lihui, the blocking her way to the final battle. Victories celebrated Natalja Golz at this World Cup about Anna Gomis, Gudrun Annette Høie from Norway and Minerva Perez Monteiro from Spain. In the 2006 World Cup in Guangzhou they again failed to Saori Yoshida. After victories in the consolation round of Marcia Andrades Yuleisi Mendoza from Venezuela and Anna Gomis then she lost the fight for a world championship bronze medal against Ida -Theres Nerell from Sweden and had to be content with fifth place. Against the same wrestler they also lost in the 2007 World Championships in Baku. They fought there but with wins over Sofia Poumpouridou and Tetyana Lazareva again a World Cup bronze medal.

To a great disappointment were the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing for Natalja Golz. She lost there after a victory over Jelena Komarowa from Azerbaijan against Saori Yoshida and Ida -Theres Nerell and only came on the 8th Place. In 2008, a separate World Cup found next to our tournament at the Olympic Games also take place. It took place in Tokyo. Natalya Golz started doing in the weight class up to 59 kg and took there the Vice World Champion title. The final battle she lost to Ayako Shoda of Japan.

In 2009 she was part only at the World Championships in Herning / Denmark. She lost there, returned to the weight class up to 55 kg, against Anna Gomis who had previously defeated in innumerable meetings, left and only came on the 19th Place. Her last start at an international championship in which they took part was that at the European Championships 2010 in Baku. It nearly succeeded there, becoming the sixth times European champion. They defeated there but in the final battle against Anastasia Grigoriev from Latvia just on points (1:2 rounds, 6:8 ) points and was "only" vice - European champion.

After this championship to Natalja Golz devoted to a greater extent their thesis and therefore took no more part in international championships. But in 2012 she made a comeback and took in the Russian championship in which, however non-Olympic weight class up to 59 2nd place. In the final she defeated Ekaterina case against Melnikov. Less successful was her start at the Golden Grand Prix in Klippan, where they only came in 8th place. Whether she still has a chance to qualify for the 2012 Olympics in London, is another question.
