Natalie Dessay

Natalie Dessay ( born April 19, 1965 in Lyon; actually Nathalie Dessaix ) is a French opera singer ( coloratura soprano).

Dessay grew up in Bordeaux. Originally she wanted to be a dancer, but studied acting and singing at the Conservatory in Bordeaux. In 1985, she made ​​a first prize to an end. In 1989 she won second prize in the Concours des Voix Nouvelles, held for the first time and then continued to study at the Paris Opera.

Natalie Dessay is married to the baritone Laurent Naouri. They have two children.
