Natalie Gauci

Natalie Gauci (* November 26, 1981 in Melbourne, Australia) is a singer of Italian and Maltese descent. On 25 November 2007, she has won the fifth season of the talent show Australian Idol in the final against Matt Corby and is the first Australian candidate who only enter a " wildcard" in the theme shows and yet was able to achieve victory. Biography

Before Australian Idol Natalie Gauci worked as a freelance musician and performed with artists such as Matt Hetherington and Beven Addinsal. After a few appearances Gauci who also plays the piano, even writing songs and recording in the studio began with their EP titled Take It or Leave It emerged that appeared in April 2006. The EP in 2007 reached the Top 500 of the Billboard World Songwriting Contest. In November 2006, Gauci was invited as a member of the Oz City Song Circle to Los Angeles, where she was able to appear before the American public with other Australian artists for the first time.

Australian Idol

Gauci has been with Sony BMG Australia under contract. As the winner of Australian Idol in 2007 Gauci will publish a " Winner's Journey" album with a DVD containing the songs that she has performed during the show, and first go to Australia on tour.
