Natanael Berg
Carl Natanael Berg ( born February 9, 1879 in Stockholm, † October 14, 1957 ) was a Swedish composer.
Berg studied veterinary medicine and initially formed musically self-taught. He then studied at the Conservatory of Stockholm singing with Julius Günther and composition with Johan Lindegren. Until 1939 he worked as a veterinarian in the Swedish army, after which he was a freelance composer. In the years 1918-1924 he served as President of the Swedish Association of Composers.
He composed five operas and three ballets, six symphonies and several symphonic poems, a piano and a violin concerto, a serenade for violin and orchestra, a piano quintet, ballads, songs and piano pieces in late Romantic style.
