Nathaniel Albertson

Nathaniel Albertson ( born June 10, 1800, Fairfax, Virginia, † December 16, 1863 in Central City, Colorado ) was an American politician. Between 1849 and 1851 he represented the State of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

About the childhood and youth as well as the education of Nathaniel Albertson nothing is handed down. He later moved to Salem in Indiana, where he worked in agriculture. Since 1835, he lived in Greenville, where he also worked as a farmer. At the same time he began a political career as a member of the Democratic Party. Between 1838 and 1840 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Indiana.

In the congressional elections of 1848 Albertson was the first electoral district of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Elisha Embree on March 4, 1849. Since he was not re-elected in 1850, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until March 3, 1851. After his retirement from the U.S. House of Representatives to Albertson operated again in agriculture. In 1853 he moved to Keokuk, Iowa, where he worked in the trade. In 1856 he came to Boonville in Missouri, where he was also active in the trade. Since 1860, Nathaniel Albertson lived in Central City (Colorado), where he worked in the mining and hotel business. He is also passed on 16 December 1863.
