National Alliance (Latvia)
"! Visu Latvijai " Nacionālā apvieniba - " Tēvzemei un Brīvībai / LNNK " shorter VL-TB/LNNK is the name of a political party in Latvia, which was formed from two previous parties on 23 July 2011. Already in 2010 were Visu Latvijai! and Tēvzemei un Brīvībai / LNNK competed in an electoral alliance with the Latvian parliamentary elections. The party describes itself as nationalkonserativ. The name is translated: National Association " All for Latvia " - " For Fatherland and Freedom / Latvian National Independence Movement ".
History
Visu Latvijai!
Visu Latvijai was founded in 2000 as a nationalist youth movement that was especially noticeable by parades and street actions. On 14 January 2006, the organization was re-founded as a political party. In the election for the 9th Saeima 2006, the party won 1.48% of the vote. Negotiations on accession to the electoral alliance Vienotība came to no conclusion, so that the party took along with Tēvzemei un Brivibai to the 2010 general election. With a vote share of 7.67 %, the coalition received 8 seats in the 10th Saeima. Here, 6 of the 8 seats were representatives of Visu Latvijai! occupied.
Visu Latvijai took some radical viewpoints, such as the recovery of a severed in 1940 by the Soviet Union area strip at Abrene / Pytalovo. The party traditionally takes part in the controversial Legionärstag, March 16. The introduction of Russian as a second official language rejects it.
