The National Assembly of Guyana 's parliament in Guyana.

The National Assembly consists of 65 deputies. 53 of them are elected in proportional representation for five years. A further 12 MPs are delegated by the local community meetings. Parliament president was in 2001 Hari Narayen Ramkarran.
