National Association for Change

The National Association for Change and the National Association for Change (Arabic الجمعية الوطنية للتغيير Al- Jama ʿ al - iyya Waṭaniyya lit - Taghyīr, English National Association for Change (NAC ) ) is a group founded in February 2010, various, loosely connected Egyptians of all political affiliations, religions and genders, including representatives of civil society and youth organizations in order to achieve a change in Egypt.

The unifying principle is a general agreement on the need for all voices that call for change within the People's Assembly to unite. Mohamed ElBaradei is the president in charge of the National Association for Change. The movement aims to achieve general reforms in the political scene, and to ensure this procedure with the amendment of Articles 76, 77 and 88 of the Constitution.

It is worth mentioning that the hitherto banned political group the Muslim Brotherhood is represented by one of its key figures who were present at a meeting thus. It is unclear, however, whether Amr Moussa, chairman of the Arab League, which met ElBaradei, a year earlier, will be part of the new movement. The group's goal is to provide political reforms, which are based on democracy and social justice.
