National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors

The National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (short: NAWCC ), a US-based, non-profit association of watch and clock collectors interested with about 25,000 members worldwide.

The NAWCC was founded in 1943 by members of the Horological Society of New York and the Philadelphia Watchmakers ' Guild, who wanted to create a national organization.

The approximately 18,000 members are currently organized into 175 individual "Chapter " (sections) that can refer to a locality or a particular field of interest. For example, is the "Chapter 2", the New York section and the Early American Watch Club, the "Chapter 149 ". The vast majority of the "Chapter " are located in the United States, some in Canada and Australia ( which do not have national associations of watch collectors ) and a few are in the rest of the world.

Every year towards the end of October, the so-called Ward Francillion Time Symposium will be held to imagine a major event on the speaker their specific topic and research results.

A bimonthly Scripture, the NAWCC Bulletin combines instructive articles for timing with internal messages from the union. It will be held local, regional and national meetings.

In 1977, the National Watch and Clock Museum in Columbia, (Pennsylvania ) was established by the NAWCC. It houses a large collection of clocks and with the National Watch and Clock Library one of the most important libraries for literature watches worldwide. The headquarters of the Association is also located in Columbia. The NAWCC maintains there since 1995, the School of Horology, a school, are in the watchmaker trained off and on.
