National Bolshevik Party

The National Bolshevik Party of Russia (NBP; Russian Национал - Большевистская Партия, НБП ) is a National Bolshevik Russian political party. It was banned in 2005 by the Supreme Court of Russia.

Substantive Profile

See themselves as the party is not neo-fascist, but openly advocates nationalist, anti-democratic and social- populist views. Both the written and in the graphic agitation and propaganda of the Nazi and Communist Nationalbolschewiken influences can be seen. The merger of the two ideologies can be very well understood by the example of the flag of the National Bolshevik Party. The flag of the NBP is modeled on the flag of the German National Socialists, however, contains the hammer and sickle in place of the swastika. The communist elements in the ideology and the appearance of the party are the reason why it is in the Russian media often associated with the political left.

The party program of 1994, according to the essence of National Bolshevism

"... The einäschernde hatred against the anti-human system of the Troika, consisting of liberalism, democracy and capitalism. The man of the rebellion, the Nationalbolschewik, sees its mission in the destruction of the system to the ground. On the ideals of intellectual courage, social and national justice a traditionalist, hierarchical society is built. "

The overall objective of National Bolshevism was the creation of an empire from Vladivostok to Gibraltar on the basis of Russian civilization.

2004 a new program was adopted which is contrary to the party program in 1994 largely at odds. The old party program was not overridden. In the new program, it is said, the main goal of the party was Russia "into a modern, powerful state, which is respected by other countries and peoples and loved by its own citizens ." To achieve this goal will, among others, to ensure the free development of civil society and the independent media and the end of the conflict in Chechnya called " involving all stakeholders ."

History of the Party

The NBP was established in 1992. In Russia, has been observed since the 1990s, a revival of National Bolshevism. In 1994 she gave a keynote program, which was updated in 2004 (see above). From the beginning, the party recruited younger in contrast to most other political movements in Russia mostly under 30 for her work, for she made interesting with unconventional methods and their Skandalumwittertheit. It was used, for example, the slogan " Завершим реформы так: Сталин! Берия! ! ГУЛАГ " ( " Complete the reforms we so: Beria Stalin GULAG! " ), Also abbreviated to " Сталин! Берия! ГУЛАГ! " ( " Stalin! Beria! GULAG! ) " Etc.

The NBP has been classified by the June 2005 Moscow region court as unconstitutional and illegal. The court considered it proven that the NBP interested in a violent revolution in Russia. The NBP lodged an appeal against the court ruling by the Supreme Court and got Russia right. Subsequently, the prosecution appealed and succeeded. The Supreme Court upheld the judgment of the Moscow region court and declared on 15 November 2005 prohibiting the NBP to be legal. The NBP remains despite illegality continues underground and sometimes even openly active. In July 2009, the party was weakened by the removal of the central Moscow party organization. Background was from the Party of the Moscow Regional Chairman at the behest of party leaders Limonov.
