National Cemetery in Martin

The National Cemetery Martin (Slovak Národný cintorín Martine v ) is the final resting place of several leading personalities of Slovak. It is located in the city of Martin on the Sklabinská Street, just a few minutes walk from the center. The choice Martins as the site goes back to the history as a center of Slovak National Movement ( Matica Slovenská ) in the 19th century.

Since 1961, the cemetery is managed as a national cultural monument.
