National Center for Charitable Statistics
The National Center for Charitable Statistics (abbreviated NCCS ) is a clearinghouse for data from the U.S. nonprofit sector. It was founded in 1982.
The NCCS was involved in the National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities ( NTEE ) classification which non-profit organizations divides based on their mission and program activities in a potential of more than 100 categories. After NTEE also the IRS classifies the non-profit organizations.
