National Emblem of Bangladesh

The coat of arms of Bangladesh was launched in 1972. The coat of arms can be found on all current taka coin of the country.

Description

Be used for the circular coat of arms as colors only gold and ocher ( shade of gold). These colors symbolize the "Golden Bengal ".

Within a circle is the stylized representation of a white star lily ( Nymphaea nouchali ), the national flower.

Above the water lily are four five -pointed stars to see, as well as leaves of Jutebaums, on the sides of each one ear of rice.

The four stars represent the four basic principles that were originally enshrined in the first constitution of Bangladesh in 1972:

The wavy lines stand for abundance of water and the rivers Ganges and Brahmaputra.
