National Emergency Operations Centre

The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC ) (French Centrale nationale d' alarme, Italian Centrale nazionale d' allarme ) is an organization of the Swiss Confederation for exceptional events, especially those with high levels of radioactivity. It is headquartered in Zurich and is responsible for threat assessment and has the authority to order measures to protect the population.

The NEOC has a small core of permanent staff as well as a part of Army Staff ( ASTT ) of the Swiss Army, which consists of militarisierbaren specialists and ensures the sustainability in extraordinary situations.
