National Fire Protection Association

The U.S. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has been active since 1896 in the fire. The headquarters of this non-profit organization with approximately 79,000 individual members worldwide and over 80 memberships of American commerce and other organizations located in Quincy, Massachusetts.

NFPA publishes a comprehensive set of rules for fire protection ( National Fire Codes ), which is mainly used in the U.S. for use. The NFPA corresponds approximately to the Association for the Promotion of the German Fire Protection in Germany.

The NFPA calls himself "The authority on fire, electrical, and building safety".
