National Military Command Center

The National Military Command Center ( NMCC; German National Military Command Center ) is located in the Pentagon and houses the logistical and communication technology center of the National Command Authority of the United States. The device, which consists of several individual work, planning, and conference rooms, is the operational control center of the Ministry of Defense of the United States. It is not directly required to carry out a nuclear strike, but it is an important communications and operations center in Washington (DC). In addition, the NMCC was the end of the hot wire between the Soviet Union and the United States.
