National Party (Czech Republic)

Národní strana is a far-right political party in the Czech Republic.

Presence

Today's Národní strana was founded in 2002. They assigned himself to the Národní strana the historic " Old Czechs " of 1848, but pursued openly nationalistic goals. It rejects the European integration, and criticizes the Czech-German reconciliation, which has been pursued for example by politicians such as Václav Havel. On the other hand you support other nationalist parties such as the French Front National and Vlaams Blok Flemish.

In the previous elections in the Czech Republic she was able to achieve any significant success. In the parliamentary elections of 2006 when she ran in all electoral districts, it reached only 0.17 percent of the vote.

The current chairman Petra Edelmannová fell in May 2008 in the headlines with the requirement for a final solution of the Gypsy question, which she refers to a relocation of Roma to India. The Národní strana has with the National Guard any related organized paramilitary organization. In May 2009, the 2009 European elections, the party fell again with the same requirement on by a television commercial.
