National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems
National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems ( NPIAS ) is the inventory of the infrastructure of aviation in the U.S.. It was set up and maintained by the Federal Aviation Administration. Its objectives are:
- Identification of all airports in the United States, referred to as major components of the network infrastructure of the national aviation.
- Review of the current state in terms of development, technology and Reparierung on each airfield
- Estimate of the funding needed to bring to each airport to the current standards of design, capacity and technology
