National Railroad Museum

The National Railroad Museum in Ashwaubenon, a suburb of Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA, was one of the first museums devoted to railway history. It was founded in 1956 by enthusiasts from Green Bay. Meanwhile, the Railway Museum is one of the largest collections of historic railway items in the United States.

The museum has a large collection of historic railroad cars and locomotives, including

  • A Aerotrain the General Motors Electro-Motive Division,
  • The " Dwight D. Eisenhower ", one of the remaining six British steam locomotives of the LNER Class A4, the locomotive went back to England in 2013 and is currently in the Museum in York.
  • A Big Boy Union Pacific Railroad
  • And the train, the Allied High Command during World War II in the UK used as a rolling command post.
