National Renewable Energy Laboratory

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory, located in Golden (Colorado). It is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (U.S. Department of Energy). It is considered the most important laboratory of the U.S. for research and developments in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency. It was founded in 1974 and in 2009 had a budget of 328 million U.S. dollars. In January 2010, it had about 1,700 employees.
