National Renovator Party

The Partido Nacional Renovador (PNR ) [ pɐɾ'tiðu nɐsiu'naɫ ʁɨnuvɐ'ðoɾ ] to German in about National Renewal Party, is a nationalist, right-wing party in Portugal. It developed from the earlier Movimento Nacional de Acção and the Partido Renovador Democrático, the former party of the first democratic president after the Carnation Revolution, António Ramalho Eanes. Since June 2005, José Pinto Coelho is their Chairman.

End of the eighties lost temporarily third largest Portuguese party, the Partido Renovador Democrático former President António Ramalho Eanes, massively more important and members, so this was on the brink of dissolution. Founded in 1985, right-wing Movimento Nacional de Acção took advantage of this opportunity and took over the party and its remaining structures by a mass defection.
