National School of Glass

The Swedish Glass School (Black Color: Riksglasskolan ) is a focused on glass, design and entrepreneurship training center in Sweden. The school is located right next to the world famous glassworks Orrefors in the same place in the center of the known as the Kingdom of Crystal in Småland region.

Mostly Scandinavian students study at the school, instruction is but open world.

History

Until the 1950s, glassblowers were trained mainly directly in the hut as apprentices. By 1960, the training was formalized and added greater theoretical content. In 1969 the municipality Nybro the training responsibility. In 1979 the school moved to new premises, the students living in the dormitory immediately adjacent to the school.
