National Socialist Factory Cell Organization

The National Socialist Factory Cell Organization ( NSBO ) was a company specific form of organization of the Nazi Party.

History

From 1927, primarily in Berlin large companies NSDAP members joined at the suggestion of the later Reichstag member Johannes Engel to operating groups, along the lines of the farm organizational structure of the Revolutionary Trade Union Opposition of the KPD. The NSBO was formed in 1928 from these groups and has been declared on January 15, 1931 Empire cells operating division of the NSDAP. The proactive recruitment including the use of propaganda and violence took place under the slogan " Into the farms " and its abbreviation " Hib ".

By the end of the year the membership grew to approximately 300,000, while the outdoors and Christian trade unions were still able to have far more than 5 million members. The NSBO has seen little overall success among the previously organized workers. Only in a few regions where they supported spectacular strikes, such as the strike at the Berlin public transport company in 1932, enter the propaganadistischen representation greater success. The NSBO associations reached but due to their comparatively low membership numbers anywhere collective ability tariff policy was not one of their field. Although the party leadership did not allow the NSBO union work, the members dedicated increasingly on trade union activity areas such as participation in council elections or the organization of labor strikes. Various historians such as Hans -Ulrich Wehler recognize her so perfectly the character of a union. Since the force applied by the members contributions are not sufficient to support the participants in strikes financially, they were supported by donations or specially set up strike funds of the NSDAP, as she had already established in the summer of 1931 about the Gau South Hanover - Braunschweig. The benefit of these payments not only Party members of the Nazi party, but also NSBO members who were not in the party, the so-called sympathizers came. Party members who entered only during a strike in the NSBO, received no support.

Too rich on the importance NSBO came with 2 May 1933, when they became the "holder of action ... to the occupation of trade union houses". To this end, an action committee was formed for the Protection of German labor in which the NSBO were represented by Reinhold Muchow and was headed by Robert Ley, at this time staff head of the political organization of the NSDAP. A few days after the banning of trade unions in Germany on 2 May 1933, the German Labor Front ( DAF) was founded. The hope of its members, the NSBO would now become the " nucleus of a partisan unit union " were not fulfilled their scope was limited future on ideological training in the workplace. With the murder of Gregor Strasser and other members of the organization in 1934, the influence of NSBO was further reduced. 1935 NSBO were resolved in favor of the DAF.
