National Television Awards

The National Television Awards are held one since 1995, British event, the prices for outstanding achievement in television award. The National Television Awards are the most important, chosen by audience award in the UK and the ceremony will be broadcast by commercial broadcaster ITV.

History

From 1995 to 2008, the event was held annually in October at the Royal Albert Hall instead, and after 2009, no awards were given, finds the award since 2010 in January at the O2 Arena in London.

Choice

Viewers can select a short list of nominees and later from this short list of the winners from the long list of nominations, which was compiled by ITV. Votes may be cast via the Internet, SMS and telephone.

In contrast to the BAFTA Awards and foreign broadcasts and persons can be nominated as long as they were seen in the corresponding period in British television. For example, the American series Desperate Housewives was nominated in 2005 for 'Most Popular Drama ".
