The National Agricultural University of Ukraine ( NUBiP ) and National University of Life and Environmental Sciences Kiev ( Ukrainian: Національний університет біоресурсів і природокористування України ) is one of the leading educational and scientific institutions of Ukraine in Kiev, Rajon Holosijiw. About seven thousand students and more than 600 graduate students, faculties are enrolled in 21 and formed of more than 3000 scientific and educational scientists, including 300 professors.

History

The University's history begins with the founding of the Department of Agronomy at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute in 1898, which was transformed into the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in 1918. After the establishment of various institutions for crop production, mechanization, electrification of agriculture, engineering of the sugar industry and the agricultural economics faculty was converted to faculties for independent agricultural college and the Institute.

According to the decree of the Parliament of Ukraine No. 158 of 29 July 1994, the university was awarded the status of National Agrarian University. Meanwhile, the NUBiP maintains partnerships with more than one hundred universities in Africa, America, Asia and Europe.
