The Swedish National Encyclopedia (. Swedish Nationalencyklopedin Ett uppslagsverk på vetenskaplig basic utarbetat på initiative av Statens Kulturråd, NE) is an encyclopedic reference work on the initiative of the Swedish National Arts Council ( Statens Kulturråd ) was issued. In 1989, the first volume was published and the complete works to 1996 completed with 20 volumes. The publisher Bra Böcker AB in Höganäs was with the publication of the National Encyclopedia entrusted (ISBN 91-7024 - 619- X).

1995-1996 also a three-volume dictionary ( Nationalencyklopedins ordbok, NeoB ) was added.
