Nationalist Republican Party

The Partido Nacionalista Republicano ( PRN) was a right-wing conservative Portuguese political party in the period of the First Republic. It originated from the Liberal Republican Union ( ULP) and the Republican Party of National Reconstruction ( Prrn ) and the remnants of the former National Republican Party of Sidónio Pais.

The best-known member of the PRN was Álvaro de Castro, former member of Prrn, who ruled with the help of the newly founded party for the second time between 18 December 1923 and 6 July 1924 as Prime Minister Portugal. A well -known member was Tomé José de Barros Queirós.
