Natixis

Natixis is the investment bank of French savings banks ( Caisse d' Epargne ) and cooperative banks ( Banques Populaires ), both of which have respectively 34.5 % of the bank.

History

Natixis was created in November 2006 by the merger of the French investment banks Natexis and Ixis .. This investment banks of the French savings banks, Caisses d'Epargne were ( Ixis ), and the cooperative Banques Populaires ( Natexis ). The German branch has its headquarters in Frankfurt.

2008, the investment bank had to write-downs of 1.5 billion euros to make and therefore lost 1.02 billion euros. 2007, the Institute had earned 1 billion euros.

In Germany Natixis is known primarily through the selling of structured products and certificates to end users. The products are sold nationwide banks, savings banks and cooperative banks. Since 2012, the Natixis Pfandbrief Bank exists as a German subsidiary.
