Natja Brunckhorst

Natja Brunckhorst ( born September 26, 1966 in Berlin ) is a German actress, screenwriter and producer. She became famous in the role of Christiane F. in the film Christiane F. - We Children from Bahnhof Zoo.

Life and career

The director Uli Edel dedicated Natja Brunckhorst for the role in the film Christiane F. - We Children from Bahnhof Zoo ( shooting from August to November 1980), when she was 13 years old. Her performance was praised by critics and audiences alike.

This early success initiated a media hype around her person which completely unprepared met the then young actress and her zusetzte since its premiere on 3 April 1981 in such a way that for them soon after the decision was made to try to reverse Germany for a few years back. Even as a teenager moved Natja Brunckhorst resident to Britain, went there like every teenager regularly to school and put in 1986 from the British university degree. From 1986 to 1987, a stay in Paris followed.

1987 returned Natja Brunckhorst back to Germany, where she completed a study acting at the Drama School in Bochum until 1991. At that time she starred in other films such as Children of stone, Babylon - In bed with the devil or a tiger, lion, panther. 1993/94 she paused professionally since she fell ill from cancer.

In 1998 Natja Brunckhorst, first for the TV series application Hamburg Süd to work as a screenwriter. For her biographical film like fire and flame, she received the 2001 Lola for Best Screenplay. In the same year published her first production, La Mer, a playful and romantic short film.

In addition, it still plays in movies. 2000 Brunckhorst was seen on the side of Franka Potente and Benno Fürmann in the movie The Princess and the Warrior.

Her most recent project as an actress is the movie Totem ( 2011). There she plays a woman desperate to speechlessness her family. Totem ran in 2011 as the only German contribution to the film festival in Venice.

In 2012 she founded the company Green Room film for the production of motion pictures.

On November 18, 2012 in the ARD Tatort episode ran things that are yet to be done, which was based on an idea turned from her.

Natja Brunckhorst lives with her daughter Emma (* 1991), which comes from a 1989 lasting until 1993 relationship with actor Dominic Raacke, in Munich.
