Náttfari

Náttfari (Eng. about Sleepwalkers ) was a slave who ran away from his master Garðar Svavarsson than this, in the 9th century, the first man ever explored extensively Iceland. The body, moved to the Náttfari is today called Náttfaravík and is located in the bay Skjálfandi. With Náttfari fled another slave and a woman. Náttfari could thus be described as the first permanent settlers of Iceland. As such, the Landnámabók but did not recognize him.
