Natural History Museum of Geneva

The Muséum d' histoire naturelle de la Ville de Genève ( German Museum of Natural History of Geneva ) is a museum located in the city of Geneva Eaux -Vives in the neighborhood.

History

The museum was founded in 1820. The present building dates from the year 1970. The museum is 10,000 square meters of exhibition space, the largest natural history museum in Switzerland.

Collections

The museum contains the insect collections of Louis Jurine with exhibits of Hymenoptera ( Hymenoptera ), Coleoptera (beetles), Lepidoptera (butterflies ) and Hemiptera are ( Hemiptera ).
