Natural Resources Defense Council

The Natural Resources Defense Council ( NRDC ) is an international, non-profit environmental organization based in New York City.

The NRDC has offices in Washington DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and Beijing, reaching in 2007 a ​​total turnover more than 75 million U.S. dollars, of which more than 59 million U.S. dollars have been spent on the project work. History

The NRDC was founded in 1970 and employs 2008 more than three hundred scientists, lawyers and other specialists. The aim of the NRDC is the preservation of the natural environment.
