Location of Nauwalde in Saxony
Nauwalde is a district of the city Groeditz in the district of Meißen in Saxony. He was up to the annexation on 1 January 2013 part of the joint management Groeditz.
Geography and transport
Nauwalde is the Großenhainer care in the Röderaue. The nearby towns are the City of Great Hain ( 19 km), Groeditz ( 3 km) and Riesa ( 17 km). The B 169 runs south of the village and can be reached via Groeditz. Nauwalde lies on the Saxon side of today's Saxony and Brandenburg and the 1815-1945 Royal Saxon- Prussian border.
History
Nauwalde in 1284 first mentioned. In 1974, the district Schweinfurth was incorporated on 1 January 1994, the independent municipalities Spannberg and Nieska merged with Nauwalde.
Effective 1 January 2013 Nauwalde was incorporated into Groeditz. Previously linked both communities since January 1, 2000, the administrative community.
