Navajo County, Arizona
The Navajo County is a county located in the northeast of the U.S. state of Arizona. The the county seat ( county seat ) is in Holbrook.
Geography
The county has an area of 25 778 square kilometers, of which 16 square kilometers of water. The majority of the area is also part of the Navajo Nation Reservation.

According to the census of 2000, there were 97 470 people in Navajo County. There were 30,043 households, and 23,073 families. The population density was 4 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 45.91 % White, 0.88 % African American, 47.74 % Native American, 0.33 % Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander residents from the and 3.15 % from other races groups; 1.94% were descended from two or more races. 8.22% percent of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 30,043 households out of which 40.50 % percent of children and adolescents under the age of 18 living with them. 55.50 % percent were married couples living together, 16.30 % percent were single mothers, 23.20 % percent were non-families. 19.90% of all households and 7.20 % had someone living alone at the age of 65 years or older. The average household size was 3.17 and the average family size was 3.68 persons.
Based on the county the population was spread out with 35.40 % under the age of 18, 8.80 % from 18 to 24, 25.30 % from 25 to 44 years, 20.40% between 45 and 64 years and 10.00 % were 65 years old or older. The average age was 30 years. For every 100 females there were 98.70 males, 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.20 males.
