The Naval Air Station Oceana (also Apollo Soucek Field ) is an airbase of the United States Navy in Virginia Beach ( Virginia). Commanding Officer CAPT James D. Webb. Executive Officer is CAPT Robert N. Geis and Command Master Chief CMDCM (AW / SW) Robert Santiago. The area of ​​all facilities is 27.6 km ². The airport was an alternate landing place ( alternative landing site) for the Space Shuttle NASA.
