Nawiady

Nawiady ( German Aweyden ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. It is located near Mrągowo belongs to the municipality Piecki.

History

The town was founded in 1397 by Commander to Rhine Johann Schönfeldt under the branches of the Teutonic Order. The village's name has its origin in the first population, which originated as the founder of Schoenfeld from Weiden in der Oberpfalz.

Attractions

In the village there is an evangelical church that is currently being used by Catholics. The church was built in the years 1600-1603, with the existing wooden tower was built in 1687. The organs were built in 1806.

In the vestibule of the church originating from German time, held on blackboards name, birth and death dates of Aweyden in the parish war dead are received geblieben.Ebenso exists originating from the period 1914-1918 Memorial to the German war dead.

2004, the old ( German Evangelical Cemetery ) was declared a National Monument. The last burial was made in 1999. It was the daughter of Aweyder registrar Fritz Zywietz which was transferred with Totenpaß from Germany because of their last wishes here.
