Nayla Tueni

Nayla Tueni ( born August 31, 1982 in Beirut ) is a Lebanese journalist and politician. It is since the summer of 2009, Member of the Lebanese Parliament.

Life

Nayla Tueni was born into one of the great Greek Orthodox family clans of Lebanon. She studied journalism and in 2007, two years after the murder of her father Gebran Tueni, deputy general manager of the Lebanese daily An-Nahar, who had her grandfather founded in 1933.

Since the summer of 2009, she is one of 64 Christian deputies in the Lebanese Parliament. She is one of four women who are members of parliament.
