Nazem Kadri

Nazem Kadri ( born October 6, 1990 in London, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player standing since 2009 with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League under contract and is currently the top scorer of the club.

Career

Nazem Kadri started his career as a hockey player in his hometown at the London Jr. Knights. Subsequently, he was active from 2006 to 2008 for the Kitchener Rangers of the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League, with which he in the 2007/ 08 season the J. Ross Robertson Cup, the OHL championship won. He then moved on to their league rivals London Knights, where he completed two seasons. In the NHL Entry Draft in 2009, the Canadian was selected with Lebanese roots in the first round as the seventh overall player of the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he signed a three year contract. His professional debut in the National Hockey League for Toronto gave the Center on February 8, 2010 game against the San Jose Sharks. The 2010/11 season, he started in the NHL squad of the Toronto Maple Leafs and was sent as the season progresses into the farm team for the Toronto Marlies. At the beginning of the 2012/13 season in January 2013 he was brought back into the team the Maple Leafs.

Internationally

For Canada Kadri took part in the U20 Junior World Cup 2010, where he took second place with his team.
