Nazyvayevsk

Nasywajewsk (Russian Называевск ) is a small town in western Siberia, Omsk Oblast (Russia) with 11,615 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The city is located in the south of the West Siberian lowland, in the plain between the Ishim and the Irtysh, about 150 km northwest of the Oblasthauptstadt Omsk.

The city is the Nasywajewsk Oblast administratively subordinated directly and as the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons.

History

The village was founded in 1911 in connection with the construction of the missing connector Tyumen - Omsk the northern route Trans-Siberian Railway Station as settlement. The station itself was at the opening of the line in 1913 the name Nasywajewskaja after 12 &kmsp; kilometers south village Nasywajewka ( from the family name Nasywajew; Staronarsywjewka today, so Alt- Nasywjewka ), the station settlement called Sibirski Posad.

After 1917 1933 it was renamed the Sibirskoye in Nasywajewka.

The 1947 site as Novo- Nasywajewka (ie New Nasywjewka ) the status of an urban-type settlement. 1956 finally the town charter was granted under the present name.

Economy and infrastructure

In Nasywajewsk there are companies in the textile and food industries, and railway workshops. The city is the center of an agricultural region.

Nasywajewsk is located on the Trans-Siberian Railway ( station name Nasywajewskaja; kilometer in 2562 from Moscow).

The city is located on the regional road, which is about 50 kilometers north extending highway R402 Tyumen - connecting Novosibirsk - Ishim - Omsk with the south running M51 Chelyabinsk - Omsk.
