Near-field magnetic induction communication

An induction station is equipped with a small coil transmitter, the coil with an alternating current of a frequency between approximately 5 kHz and 150 kHz is supplied.

It is occasionally used by remote control applications with ranges of up to 20 meters, but today more and more replaced by UHF systems.
