Nearch (crater)

Nearchus is an impact crater in the southern part of the Moon front, southwest of the crater Rosenberger and west of Hagecius. The rim is eroded, the crater floor largely flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Greek navigator and explorer Nearchos.
