In 1998, Ned Overend finished his professional cross-country career and put his full concentration on one sport, with whom he already had two years earlier: the Xterra World Championship, a cross- triathlon on Maui. Later, he joined again in terms of cross-country on the pedals: The Mountain Bike World Cup in Angel Fire 2005 Old Neverend finished shortly before his 50th birthday on the 18th rank and let this a number of well-known racers behind.
