Nedre Eiker

Nedre Eiker is a municipality in Buskerud Fylke in Norway. It borders Lier, Modum, Drammen, yard and Øvre Eiker. It was divided on 1 July 1885 by its neighboring municipality Øvre Eiker. Up to this time there was a common community called Eiker. The municipality is also geographically divided by the Drammen River.

Mjøndalen, Krokstadelva Solbergelva and Steinberg are the most important places in the municipality. Mjøndalen with 8000 inhabitants, the largest city and the administrative center of the municipality.
