Neerabup-Nationalpark

The Neerabup National Park is a 11 km ² national park in Western Australia, Australia. Its name derives from neerimba, the name of the Australian pelican in the language of the Aborigines.

Location

The park is located about 27 km north of Perth and runs over a length of 12 km along the Lancelin Road. In approximately 5 km distance to the north joins the Yanchep National Park.

Flora and Fauna

The landscape in Neerabup National Park ranges from sparse forests of marri ( Corymbia calophylla ), jarrah (Eucalyptus marginata ) and Tuart ( Eucalyptus gomphocephala ) - trees, interspersed with casuarina way through bushland consisting mainly banksias and Hakea species, up to the moorland of Dryandra species.

In the varied flora one can observe a variety of animals, including the Western Grey Kangaroo, the Emu ( Dromaius novaehollandiae ), the echidna, the Western Irmawallaby and a Kusus type.
