Neerach is a municipality in the district of Dielsdorf the canton of Zurich in Switzerland.

Geography

The municipality comprises the villages Neerach and Riedt which formed two separate civil parishes until about 35 years.

The landscape is quite flat with rolling hills. In the lowlands in the south east of the municipality of the wetlands of the Neeracherrieds lie. The forest covers only 5.5 % of the municipal area of 601 ha, 65 % are used for agriculture, 6.3% and 11.1 % of the traffic is settlement.

The municipality is bordered to the north by Neerach Stadel bei Niederglatt, on the northeast by Hochfelden, to the east by Hori, on the southeast by low smoothness, on the southwest by Sünikon and to the northwest by Bach.

Policy

The SVP has 50.5 %, the SP 15.5%, FDP 16.6%, Green 6.4%, the CVP 2.6%, and the EPP 3.0% of the vote.

The council consists of five members. The mayor and chief financial Beat Lienhardt, civil engineering and plant superintendent Fredi Wide, Construction Executive Carlos Claudio bacon, welfare and Landwirtschaftsvorständin Heidy Rohrer and health and safety chief Mark zinc.

Economy

As the population structure have changed in Neerach since the early 1960s, the local government finances and tax conditions. The simple state tax income has grown during this time of CHF 30'000 .00 to 9.7 million francs, while the then lying at the upper limit of 156 % municipality tax rate has dropped to 73% today. Neerach making it the lowest tax municipality in the canton of Zurich.

History

The place Neerach was first mentioned as " Neeracho " and is therefore based on current knowledge, a Gallo- Roman foundation. Neerach was over long centuries a local center of the Habsburg, then the Zurich state administration.
