Geography
Geographical Location
Neetze lies on the western edge of the Elbufer- Drawehn at the Neetze (river). The community belongs to the Samtgemeinde Ostheide, which has its headquarters in the town of Barendorf.

In addition to the districts Neetzes to church Neetze also belong the localities Boltersen and New Boltersen.
History
The village Neetze was first mentioned in 1205 as Netisse, when William of Lüneburg away a yard to the canons of the Lübeck Cathedral. The name is taken from the older river names.
Incorporations
On March 1, 1974, the municipality Süttorf was incorporated.
Policy
The municipality belongs to the Neetze parliament constituency 48 Elbe and the Bundestag constituency 38 Lüchow -Dannenberg - Lüneburg.

The municipal council of Neetze consists of 13 council women and councilors.

Economy and infrastructure
Traffic
Federal highway 216 Lüneburg - Dannenberg ( Elbe) is located south of the community. The surrounding cities Bleckede and Lüneburg are with public transport on weekdays hourly accessible. The now disused railway line for passenger - Lüneburg Bleckede performs Neetze.
Public institutions
The KICK- Ostheide in Neetze passes the open youth club, girls 'and boys' groups and offers consultations for all matters of family life.
Education
In Neetze there is a primary school which taught according to the concept of open input stage and in grades 3 and 4, two quickly. The Lutheran Youth Education Center ( Jubi ) is a place for training, seminars and retreats.
In elementary school, there is the public library of the velvet municipality Ostheide.
