Neferneferure

Neferneferure, and Nefer - neferu -Re, was an ancient Egyptian princess of the 18th dynasty, and the fifth daughter of King (Pharaoh) Akhenaten and his Great Royal Wife Nefertiti. She was probably born between the 10th and 12th year of the reign of Akhenaten in Akhetaten.

Pictures of her can be found on reliefs and paintings in the royal capital Akhetaten ( Amarna ), but barely after the 12th year of the reign of her father. It is therefore assumed that they probably died around the 14th year of the reign of Akhenaten. In Amarna found himself in the royal necropolis a seal that calls her grave. It is uncertain whether it is the anonymous person buried in the royal grave in Akhetaten to it or is her younger sister Setepenre.

Also noteworthy is the discovery of a box lid from the grave treasure of King (Pharaoh) Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings, grave KV62. The lid bears her name and her image. Neferneferure is here in the typical children's representation shown: Sitting in a squatting position, placed his right hand to his mouth and his left hand on the knee dormant. The lid with the accommodation facility No. JE 61498 is located in Cairo Egyptian Museum.

With this king's daughter, the change of the sun god name starts in the name of the daughters of the royal couple. This is not, as with her older sisters, but Aton Re.
