Negenborn

Negenborn is a municipality in the district of Minden wood in Lower Saxony ( Germany ) and, together with monastery and convent Amelungsborn to Samtgemeinde Bevern.

Geography

Negenborn is surrounded by castle hill, Vogler and the plateau Odin Field in the valley floor at the entrance to Hooptal. Neighboring communities are the towns Golmbach, Holenberg and somewhat distant Arholzen, City Oldendorf and Lobach.

The village is crossed in a westerly direction from the forest brook, which flows with forest near Bevern into the Weser.

History

The name Negenborn derived from the original name Nighunburni ( 908 ) and means Neunbrunnen and is due to the nine sources in place.

In the 15th century Negenborn was devastated by the robber barons mischief and leave the monastery to re-colonization in 1490.

Negenborn was due to an old military and trade route that led from Westphalia Hoexter and Stadtoldendorf up to Gander home and on and ran between the monastery Amelungsborn and Eschershausen.

1878 Men's Choir and 1910, a shooting club is established, both still exist today and are also members of the Working Group which was founded in 1979 Negenborner clubs. VfB Negenborn for football sports founded in 1927, has risen along with the neighboring communities in the gaming community JSG Forstbachtal.

As a general education elementary school exists in Forstbachtal. A children's nursery on site, there is not, this is the kindergarten in Golmbach available.
