Negril

Parish

Negril is a country town in the west of Jamaica. The place is located in the Parish Westmoreland County Cornwall. In 2010, the population was 4,612 people. Negril is one of the most famous tourist spots of the island.

Geography

Negril is located in the extreme west of Jamaica, south of the mouth of the Negril River, which drains the swamp area in the hinterland. The place is known for its 11 km long sandy beach, but the north is outside the city proper and already owns half the Hanover Parish. Counted for this beach is also the further north then Bloody Bay. The hotels of all ranges and categories, the size of which is limited to a maximum of approximately 500 rooms and the height is not more than three stories displayed along the two beaches.
